Please help support us by attendind the Jackie's Magic 2011 a food drive to help the needy on Saturday, October 22, 2011. The Jackie's Magic 2011 Food Drive is an event to honor our daughter, Jackie, who died in a horrible auto accident on December 7, 2003. When the accident occurred, Jackie had taken it upon herself to launch her own food drive, to support local families during the holiday season. She had been doing this without anyone’s knowledge. In a grief-stricken, curious meeting of the minds, we created “Jackie’s Magic” a food drive/magic show that combines our love of magic and Jackie’s commitment to charity and service. All food and donations collected will benefit the Warren Township Food Pantry. In appreciation for a donation of non-perishable food items (or a cash donation) participants will be treated to a 90-minute magic show featuring magicians Mark & Sue Holstein, Joe Diamond, Tristan Crist, Bill Blagg, Magic Sam, Fizbin Xanatos, and myself, Jim Stanislawski. There will also be close-up magic performers and balloon artists who will provide pre-show entertainment. We are in awe at the amount of help we have received from the magic community with regards to this event. It is to the point where we now get more performers offering to help than we have time available in the shows. This shows how close our magic community really is. The size of the event has grown in popularity each year. Each year the attendance seems to grow. The popularity of this event had caught the attention of Gurnee Mayor Krysti Kovarik, and she was instrumental in bringing this event to our hometown of Gurnee, Illinois. The Warren Township High School  students will be participating by running the event as well as providing a hand in collecting the food. The community is stepping up their efforts this year to help fill the local food pantry prior to the upcoming holiday season.
